Things to Know Before You Go!

The conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach Oceanfront.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key all weekend—our dress code is beach casual for every event.

DG Mark and his wife Brandy will be fully embracing the coastal vibe, so feel free to relax and dress accordingly!

  • It can get breezy when the sun goes down, so you may want a light jacket—especially for the Low Country Boil on Friday evening
  • Don’t forget your Rotary pin, Rotary spirit, and lots of smiles
  • Rotarians are welcome to go a little dressier for dinner on Saturday night if they wish

What are some things to do in the area?

The Crystal Coast offers an incredible mix of relaxation, adventure, and coastal charm. Here are a few highlights to explore while you’re here:

  • Fort Macon State Park & Fort Macon Beaches – Very near the resort and a beautiful natural area. Explore the historic fort or enjoy one of the most scenic and spacious beaches in the area.
    • The hotel offers plenty of poolside seating, but if you plan to spend time at the beach, be sure to bring your own beach chairs
  • Downtown Beaufort – One of the most charming coastal towns on the East Coast. Stroll along the waterfront, enjoy boutique shopping, and choose from a wide variety of great local restaurants
  • Shackleford Banks – Take a ferry to see wild horses roaming freely along the shoreline. Ferry reservations are strongly encouraged
  • Rachel Carson Reserve (Carrot Island) – A peaceful natural area with scenic walking paths and opportunities to spot wild ponies. Ferry reservations are recommended
  • North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores – A great place to explore marine life exhibits, including sharks, sea turtles, and interactive experiences
  • North Carolina Maritime Museum – Discover the rich maritime history of coastal North Carolina, including exhibits on Blackbeard and the Queen Anne’s Revenge

The Beach – Crystal Coast

A unique stretch of coastline where the island faces south—allowing you to see the sunrise to your left and the sunset to your right.

The light reflects across the water like shimmering crystals, creating one of the most beautiful coastal views in North Carolina.
